In brief: Immunize

Mumps virus is reasonably preventabe by receiving the proper doses of vaccine.
This vaccine has decades of proven safety and efficacy.Keep in mind, it may be neccessary to boost your immune response with a booster dose in teens or adulthood.

In brief: YES!!

There has been a mumps vaccine available for decades.
No one should get mumps unless there is reason for not getting the vaccine or due to another disease. If any one in the U.S. Gets mumps, measles, rubella, or polio, it is because of inadequate medical care or irresponsibility on the parts of the parents. Vaccines don't cause autism. The researcher admitted he faked it 2 years ago.
