How medically sound is the diagnosis of an acupuncturist? If I'm informed I have kidney problems (and more) is it worth bringing up with a doctor?

Sound within context. The diagnosis of a competent acupuncturist is sound within the context chinese medicine but not western medicine. In other words, when an acupuncturist says you have "kidney yin deficiency" for example, this refers to the concept of the kidney meridian. Kidney TCM. I agree with dr. Baker. I am a western trained physician & an accupuncturist. Even though i lived in the orient for many years, i had a very hard time getting my mind around all the differences between traditional chinese medicine (tcm) & western medicine.
