In brief: A little
Peroxyl may help somewhat, but it is not going to get rid of the source of the infection.
Thus the infection will come back, that is one of the reasons antibiotics only work temporarily on tooth infections also.

In brief: Maybe temporarily
Peroxyl is just 1.
5 % hydrogen peroxide and 99% water. It will kill bacteria it comes into contact with but if you have an infection it will not cure it. You need to have the tooth fixed or removed if that is what is truly causing your infection.
