When should I worry about not getting a period after childbirth if I am breastfeeding?

In brief: When you stop

Some women can prevent menstrual cycles with exclusive breast feeding.
I would not worry until you've stopped lactating & then within 3 months. Some patients find out the hard way that you ovulate before you have a cycle, so be careful & use a more reliable birth control if you want to avoid another quick pregnancy.
