In brief: Antihistamine/steroi
The best is probably steroids--such as prednisone, but this needs a script from your doc.
You can try otc zyrtec/benadryl etc...Motrin/aleve may help. Topical calamide lotion and hydrocrtisone may help a bit as well. If severe, consult doc. Good luck.

In brief: Is it an allergic
Reaction? About 15% of people who have been stung are allergic.
When the fire ant stings it injects solenopsin - an alkaloid venom. This causes a welt which can become enlarged & this is usually followed by a sterile pustule. If you have an allergic rxn - concur w previous recommendation for steroids. If you are experiencing pain & itching from stings consider these things. Apply a 1 to 1 mix.

of baking soda & water to decrease pain & reaction. Or try paste of water & meat tenderizer, benadryl for itching or tylenol or NSAID's for pain. Call 911 for a serious allergic reaction.

You may end up with an anaphylactic reaction if you get periodic stings. In that case, you should consider an allergist ASAP.
