Sleep paralysis is not uncommon and is described as frightening.
Occasionally people will try and wiggle a finger which if successful usually snaps them out of the phenomenon. Remember that there is no reason for panic. Get plenty of sleep as sleep deprivation can make this occur more frequently. If this continues often and occurs with other sleep symptoms, see a sleep physician.
