In brief: Depends on cause.

If you have a significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see your medical provider ; get a streph throat test ; culture.
Saltwater gargles are very helpful. Mix a teaspoon of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle with this several times a day. You can gargle with aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mixture of chamomile tea with honey ; a small amount of lemon juice is good.

In brief: Sore throat

Sure but treatment depends on the cause.
If felt most mornings, you could be a mouth breather during sleep causing your throat to dry up - need to drink, see doctor to stop mouth-breathing. If infected with virus - warm salt-water gargles. If infected with bacteria (strep) - penicillin prescribed by your doctor. If caused by fish-bone - see ENT doctor. Analgesics - acetaminophen/ibuprofen/naproxen.
