In brief: Breast augmentation
Most patients give themselves 5-7 days for recovery.
This also depends on if you are having your implants over or under the muscle, as well as how physically demanding your job is.

A fair number of patients with clerical jobs are back to work in 2-3 days.

In brief: Depends on...
What kind of work you do and where the implants are placed.
Generally, implants placed on top of the pectoral muscle are less painful postoperatively than those under the muscle; patients can often return to sedentary work in a week. If your work involves physical labor and/or the implants are placed under the muscle, slightly longer may be needed.

In brief: Quick Recovery
The discomfort from breast augmentation is dependent on the size of the implant you desire.
Larger implants...More discomfort...Longer recovery. On average, you should be able to get back to work within a few days (or even quicker with small implants). Six weeks before strenuous exercises. http://www.dassmd.com/breast-augmentation/index.html.

In brief: Depends
Depends on what you do for a living.
.. Deskwork should be ok 3 days later. Light activity work (filing, driving, etc..) about a week. Physical activity will require approximately 2 weeks. Make sure you tell your surgeons what type of duties you have at work so you know exactly how much time off you will need.

In brief: Depends.
Most patients who undergo breast augmentation are able to return to a “desk job” 5 to 7 days subsequently.
Those patients who have more physically demanding jobs require a longer period of time away from work. I ask my patients to avoid heavy lifting/strenuous activity for 4 weeks after the procedure. Driving should wait until patients are off of medications ; can respond to an emergency safely.

In brief: Work demands?
If undergoing a modest breast augmentation and your work has low demands, it is quite possible that you could return to work within 3-5 days.
However, if your work demands extremely strenuous lifting, them it may be recommended that you wait up to 6 weeks and possibly longer if your surgeon recommends.

In brief: Depends upon type
For light work, patients are usually back in a few days to a week.
For those with heavier activity at work, it can be longer.
