Agree with dr. C sam-e can interact with ssri's, st john's wort, 5-htp and l tryptophan.
Should be used carefully if you are also taking blood thinners, or if you are actively bleeding. Always good to be careful.

To my knowledge, it does not appear that taking s-ame causes any birth control pill interaction.
However, if any of our colleagues on health tap know differently i would certainly be open to any further discussion on this. Always check with your pharmacist if you aren't sure as they often possess a greater weath of information regarding medicine and their potential interactions.
