Anemia means lower than normal numbers of red blood cells and/or low hemoglobin.
"aplastic" anemia is a specific type of anemia where there is bone marrow injury/damage as the cause of low blood levels and can include low white blood cell and platelet counts. Anemia can be caused by many things. Aplastic anemia specifically is caused by a drug, toxin, or autoimmune disease.
