My ninety year old mother, usually healthy, independent and active, suddenly felt unwell, hot and cold, sick. She felt a local swelling of a vein in her right wrist, then shooting pains in her fingers and arm, moving over to her left fingers, hand and arm
Take her to the ER. She needs to be seen immediately by a physician. Take her to the nearest er.
Must r/o cva. At this age, stroke is always an important disease process to rule out...The vein enlargement is most l;ikely not a cause of any of her symptoms.
