Does a 7 CM ovarian cyst need to be removed? 16 yr old daughter is in severe pain and can barely move, even on lortab. Should we go to the er?

7 cm is pretty large, a cyst this big could certainly cause pain.
It could suddenly twist or burst, resulting in emergency surgery. Probably not a cancer. It could likely be removed using a laparoscope, resulting in small incisions. The sooner it is removed the better. See your doctor don't go to the er.

Er is not the solution as they will not take it out. Call your ob/gyn and have her seen there.
