In brief: Stress incontinence
While many procedures and devices have come along for stress incontinence (i have tried them all as a urologist) the gold standard remains the mid-urethral sling.
Peri-urethral bulking agents may help some temporarily. Renessa and other gimmicks done in the office have failed miserably for most women. This is a years old device being re-introduced to a new generation of doctors.

In brief: Depends on the type
You may have stress incontinence, which happens when you cough or sneeze.
You may be able to improve your symptoms by cutting back on caffeine and doing kegel exercises. You may have urge incontinence, that you feel the urge and then your bladder just empties. This is often improved with medication. You may have urethral hypermobility which is easily treated in the office with renessa.
