In brief: With insulin
When potassium gets high it can be lowered in the blood by shifting it into the cells.
Insulin (and some other drugs) do this. Dextrose (glucose) can stimulate production of Insulin for some effect. For very high potassium levels Insulin and dextrose are both given for more vigorous effect.
