In brief: Neosynephrine (phenylephrine)

1. Using it for longer than 3-5 days; 2.
Taking any other oral or nasal decongestants with it.

In brief: More Neosynephrine (phenylephrine)

Neosynephrine (phenylephrine) (oxymetazoline topical), a nasal decongestant, is effective but highly addictive.
When it wears off the nasal tissue rebounds becoming more swollen than before use. The response to the drug decreases with continued use. Oxymetazoline should not be used with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor or Linezolid (zyvox). Many other med doses need to be modified for safety. Speak to your doctor.
