What will happen if you take Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) XR and drink alcohol?

In brief: Probably Not Much
With any psychotropic medication, it always best to be cautious with mixing meds and alcohol.
However, Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is so different than alcohol that there is not likely to be a significant increase in sedation or an increase in the effects of alcohol. Of course, alcohol can impair attention and concentration, so if you need Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) to help with these areas, you might do better without using alcohol.
