In brief: Know what you eat

Study your food, read about calorie content and protein/carb/fat content.
Over time you will know your likes and will learn about balance in what you are used to. You are much more likely to be successful at eating what you choose, informed therein.

In brief: Here u go

Eat more salt. Not high protein: eating excess protein will turn it into sugar and stall fat loss.
Eat more fat (no trans fat). Eat 2 meals a day not many small meals. Eat real food . Do not try to make franken-food (low carb pancakes muffins etc.. Are a no no) stay away form artificial sweeteners: they will make u crave sugar.
