In brief: Dilaudid
It is simply a potent opioid.
One advantage it has over Percocet or lortab is that Dilaudid tablets do not contain any acetaminophen.

Pain Management
In brief: Dilaudid
Dilaudid is a short acting medication.
If its is used for very short duration then fine, you should not be taking any other medication that could enhance the side effects. It is available as a long acting medication in exalgo. The real issues is do you have acute or chronic pain? Remember it is an opioid and there are risks associated.
