I've been taking iron tablets for over a month now, but my stool is brown. Should I stop taking the tablets?

In brief: Get measurements

Make sure you are not taking iron to compensate for blood loss.
We do not lose iron unless we are bleeding. So once we ruled-out blood loss, get your serum iron & ferritin levels measured because too much iron can cause oxidation, liver disease and heart disaese. You don't want to become overloaded with too much iron.
