I have an, enlarged uterus, ovaries and fibroids. How can I get help?

See a gynecologist. The first question your gynecologist will ask is what kind of help you need. Are you having heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, inability to become pregnant, urinary frequency, or a large mass in your pelvis? Your gynecologist will be able to give you a choice of options depending on your goals.
Easy! Any good gynecologist, rei, and most knowledgeable primary care docs can tell you how to get help.

Not sure. what "2 endometria" refers to. Do you have an anatomic uterine malformation such as didelphys or septate uterus? If so, there are a number of variations. You may still be able to conceive, but you have to talk to your doctor about what it specifically means in your case. Also, MRI may be useful to further evaluate potential uterine anomalies. I'm 42 and have an enlarged uterus with 4 large fibroids. I want to keep my uterus and not have a hysteracomy. There goes my hopes for trying for kid.

Worrisome problem. Fibroids are bundled muscle fibers in the wall of the uterus. They can impinge on the uterine space and force a fetus into a distorted position and make delivery difficult.Removing fibroids, depending on the size, can weaken the wall and make pregnancy risky. If removal occurs you could consider using a fertility center to harvest /fertilize your egg and hire a surrogate to carry the baby. Consider myomectomy. A myomectomy removes the fibroids and spares the uterus. Depending on the location of the fibroids and their size, it may be possible to do this procedure as an outpatient with a scope or robotically. Their are other fertility considerations at 42 that are unrelated to the fibroids and almost always you will need a cesarean if you do conceive after a myomectomy. Read more...

Avoid phytoestrogens. Fibroids are a result of high estrogen levels. High estrogen can be caused by excessive carbohydrate intake (via competetive inhibition of glucoronidase enzyme) therefore a low carb diet is beneficial to reduce estrogen and help shrink fibroids. You may also have low iodine, thyroid problems, low progesterone. All of these things should be evaluated. All phytoestrogens should be avoided. Read more...
