In brief: Various
Various treatments can be useful to treat acne scarring.
Selection of treatment depends on various factors, including the type of scar, location, your skin type & other factors. Treatments include microdermabrasion, dermabrasion, fillers, surgical subcision, and lasers such as fraxel and fractionated co2 resurfacing.

In brief: See dermatologist
If your acne is quiet, see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon for treatment.
Laser, microsurgery or dermabrasion can lessen the appearance of acne scars. If your acne is still active, take medications as prescribed by your doctor, then see above when things have quieted down.

In brief: Improve, not remove
You can never remove a scar, once present.
However, multiple options for improving the appearance of acne scars exist. Depending on your skin and exact circumstances your facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist may recommend laser treatments (including co2, 1550 nm erbium), peels, dermabrasion, or well as topical treatments. Seek a physician with experience.

Dermatology
In brief: Surgery or Laser
If the scar is superficial, topical retinoic acid and a broad spectrum sunscreen may be sufficient to augment a recently developed acne scar.
If the scar is old, deep, and pin point (ice pick scar), surgical excision with suture closure will be optimal. If the acne scar is broad and deep, multiple sessions with a fractionated laser would gradually improve its appearance.
