In brief: Medications

Most often daytime myoclonus can respond to Depakote or keppra, (levetiracetam) but nocturnal myoclonus is different, and we use drugs such as Requip or mirapex.

In brief: Variety of drugs

Myoclonus may come from different parts of the nervous system. Depending on the source, different medications may work.
Myoclonus from the spine and brainstem may be responsive to Clonazepam or depakote. Cortical myoclonus coming from the brain can be responsive to multiple anti-seizure medications including keppra, (levetiracetam) depakote, Klonopin or even topamax. Identifying the source can direct therapy.
