Does anyone know how much glucosamine I should take to help heal a torn ligament?

In brief: Controversial
There is considerable debate over whether glucosamine works at all.
I believe that it does help repair cartilage if taken at a dose of 1500 mg of glucosamine per day. The chondroitin probably does not help. There is almost no evidence that it helps torn ligaments.
