In brief: Br.Milk: looser poop

Breastmilk-fed babies usually have looser, more watery, poops when compared to formula-fed babies.
Breastmilk has ingredients that encourage the intestines to move the poop along, so the poop leaves the baby sooner (a faster transit time means the poop doesn't stay in the baby long, so the poop doesn't get drier nor firmer). Formula-fed babies have firmer poops and more easily get constipated.

In brief: Digestion

Your baby's digestive system breaks down breast milk and formula differently.
We all use "good" bacteria to help digest our food. These different bacteria help to change the stools based on their unique digestive properties.
