In brief: Prick skin testing

The most accurate method of diagnosing a particular food allergy is a combination of the history and prick skin testing (typically preformed by an allergist).
Blood testing is an alternative method though not as accurate.

In brief: Talk to your doctor

Talk to your doctor about it.
We generally discourage tests to just predict if someone might have a food allergy (the tests can often be misleading). If you have noticed problems with certain foods - then testing is a good idea.

In brief: Not easy

Some common sign of food allergies can be skin dryness, vomiting, diarrhea (especially if bloody), refusal to eat that specific food.
More obvious one are facial swelling and hives (red, raised, bllanchable rasges). But again not always that easy. That's one reason why pediatrician typically recommend to start one new food at a time is so that the family can notice any of those potential changes.
