Can pingueculitis be caused by scleriderma?

Possibly. Pingueculitis is inflammation of a conjunctival lesion and scleroderma is an autoimmune inflammatory disease. It is possible that scleroderma may cause pingueculitis but it is not a common finding of the disease.
Unlikely. Major cause for pingueculitis is not known but it is found that those people who are exposed to sun, wind, dust and dry climate for a longer time are more vulnerable to this condition. Consult with ophthalmologist for more details about this condition.
