How do you know if your vaginal hole is too small for sex and has to be surgically opened? Mine is about the size of a pea

In brief: Check the hymen
Women are born with a piece of tissue at the opening of the vagina that makes penetration very difficult (the hymen) which is frequently broken by routine activity before you attempt sex for the first time.
If not, sex can break the hymen (which is normal). Some women have a very tough hymen (imperforate hymen) that needs to be surgically removed or cut to make sex possible. Ask your doctor!

In brief: Be seen
Your physician can determine if you have an imperforate hymen.
Most women, by the time they are ready for sex, have broken their hymen from normal activities. If not, it will be broken at the time of first intercourse. If it is completely sealed, it may have to be surgically opened, but this is rare.
