In brief: Not exactly

People can have gallstones without any symptoms.
However once you develop symptoms relating to gallstones such as pain right upper abdomen, pain with eating , etc. Then it may be time to evaluate for gallbladder surgery. See your surgeon. Some patient express that they feel like there is a knot or golf ball size pressure constantly present on that size.

In brief: Possible

The presence of gallstones alone will not cause pain.
It may be your gallbladder. See your doctor for evaluation.
