In brief: Wet washcloth
Wetting a washcloth with cool water and letting them chew on it helps.
You can also take the seeds out of a cucumber slice and let them chew on it (just watch to make sure they don't bite big pieces off).

Frozen carrots and let your baby gnaw on the stout end.or freeze a washcloth teething ring or vibrators available at Walmart.this will help with the itch sensation.

In brief: Massage
Using your fingers or a wet washcloth (some prefer warm, others cool) massage the upper and lower gums with gentle pressure.
This can calm many teething babies.

In brief: Orajel
Orajel is good to sooth the baby's gum during teething.
Wipe the area dry with a soft gauze, then use the q-tip to place the orajel. Chloraseptic spray would also work. Make sure to dry the mucosa with gauze to increase the effectiveness.
