Is there a specific diet to control liquid stools resulting from a hemicolectomy?

In brief: BRAT diet

The banana rice apple (sauce) toast (brat) diet may temporarily increase the consistency of your stools as well as the use of some medications to decrease motility.
However, I am confident that your surgeon may have these readily available. In many instances the resorption capacity of your remaining colon will compensate over time as well.

In brief: No

Chronic liquid stools after a hemicolectomy is uncommon and can be the result of bile acid malabsorption, infection, bacterial overgrowth or other abnormality.
A low fiber diet may help control symptoms but further evaluation or treatment may be warranted. I suggest you follow up with your surgeon or gastroenterologist for further evaluation.
