In brief: Good question
Fructose is a natural sugar found in fruits.
It is what god made. It is a monosaccaride and is absorbed directly during digestion. Hfcs comprises any of a group of corn syrups that has undergone enzymatic processing to convert some of its glucose into fructose to produce a desired sweetness. This is not natural and has been shown to cause problems like fatty liver and obesity. It is not healthy.
