In brief: Maybe

Scientific research says it does not, but I have seen babies who repeatedly have loose bowel movements when teething.
Can not prove the realrionship however, so it remains confusing.

In brief: Perhaps

The literature says "no, " but it happens so often that perhaps we just have not nailed down the physiologic reason yet.
Keep baby hydrated. If diarrhea persists call your pediatrician.

In brief: No

Some anecdotal evidence suggests low-grade fevers accompany teething, but no known relationship with any GI problems including diarrhea exists.
