Unlikely. Generally the pill doesn't lose effectiveness with most antibiotics except rifampin, for ex., or some seizure meds, st. Johns wort, etc.

Not at all. According to mayo clinic, no large scale long range studies have shown antibiotics to diminish effectiveness of bc pill, except rifampin but some doctors believe that some women may experience decrease effectiveness of the pill and recommend, another birth control method while on antibiotics. In my opinion Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Cleocin will not significantly cause decrease effectiveness of bc pills. Ask your md.

Yes. Any oral antibiotic can effect the birth control pill. Use backup condom until you get your period, or abstain until then.
Antibiotics. It's recommended you use back up birth control while on antibiotics.

No. Clindamycin vag cream will do nothing to affect your birth control pill efficacy.
No concern. Clindamycin vc may weaken condoms, or contraceptive diaphragms; barrier contraceptives are not recommended concurrently or for 3-5 days (depending on the product) following treatment. Clindamycin vc is not noted to decrease bcp effectiveness.
What is the best way to apply Dalacin T acne lotion (Clindamycin Phosphate) for best and quickest results?
Acne medication. First, use it according to your prescription instructions. It take several weeks before you may start to see results. Use it thinly and locally on a clean dry face. And always use sunscreen if going to be outside.
Dalacin. The recommended dose is 5 g (one full applicator) into the vagina at bedtime for 7 consecutive nights. Women who are menstruating should wait until menstruation has stopped before using this medication.
As prescribed. The best way is how your doctor prescribed it. I would follow up with your skin doctor to see if other treatments would be available.
Clindamycin. For best results, apply the clindamycin gel or lotion to clean dry skin three times a day. If you have very oily skin you might want to use an alcohol pad to clean off the excess oil before applying it. Call your prescribing provider if you find no real improvement after 4 weeks of use.
