Is there any over-the-counter headache pill that is similar to fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine)?
I take fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) 4 pills daily. What and how long will I take for me to become addicted. I had 4 headaches a week. Now none?
Difficult to say. You will become tolerant (takes more to achieve same effect) and physically addicted (you will feel poorly when u stop taking) fairly quickly at those doses - 1w-6w? I certainly suggest you see a headache specialist (neurologist, pain doc) - there are better medications for long-term use. Hope this helps.
What over-the-counter items can ease withdrawal from fioricet with codeine (acetaminophen butalbital caffeine and codeine)?
No OTC meds. There are no otc meds that will help with withdrawal symptoms from narcotics. You should see your doctor as soon as possible.
Agree plus. You should ask your physician for a referral to a pain management clinic; if there was an original diagnosis of disease causing the pain. Many times, Fioricet with codeine, (acetaminophen butalbital caffeine and codeine) has been prescribed for migraines. There are many different medical and alternate treatments for pain that are not addictive. Please see the appropriate medical specialist for a definitive diagnosis. You must have expert support.
Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) Yes, yes it can be very addictive it has butalbitol in it.
I have frequent headaches and take fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) as needed but it seems to have stopped working.
Avoid Rebound. This can occur with repeated, as-needed dosing of your meds and worsens with time. If your headaches have not been evaluated or are worsening you need medical evaluation. You probably need surpressive medications which can reduce how often and how severe your headaches become. See your doc to get started.
Cause of headache. Treating the headache with pain med does not resolve the cause and the pain med stops working. Could be neck problem that would be resolved with prolotherapy and the headaches will be gone. May be tension or migraine and require a different type of program. Visit my we page at www. Proloshot. Com and www, neurosciencemyths. Com and make an appointment to resolve these issues safely.
I have a history of migraines so my nero put me on fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine). The headaches came back but I'm only supposed to take 4 tablets a week. Why is that?
Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) contains a barbiturate which is very addictive, Also using it daily can cause rebound headaches.
Girlfriend takes fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) w/ codeine for headaches, could she become addicted to them?
Addiction. Simple answer is yes, definitely. Good your concerned.
What are the side efects of fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) and can it cause headache?
Old style medication. Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) is a combination barbiturate /acetaminophen that used to be popular for headaches. In fact it is a very ineffective drug that causes drug rebound headaches. It is not an appropriate medication to treat your headache. See a neurologist or pain specialist for an evaluation.
Yesterday my husband drank alcohol and today he woke up with a bad headache and drank a fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine)...is it dangerous? Thank u
Ok. Alcohol far enogh away that it would not have an additive effect.
Reoccurring migraines for over a year. I was put on Fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) by my neuro which helps but the migraines are coming back. Causes of daily headaches?
Migraines. There are two approaches to treating migraine. Abortive medications such as fioricet, Imitrex, Relpax (eletriptan). The other approach is the prophylactic approach with meds such as Topamax. In your case it sounds like you may have migraines and med rebound headaches. Consider asking your neurologist for a preventive therapy.
