Anesthesiology

In brief: Peaceful

Honestly the worst part of anesthesia is getting an iv.
This feels like a small pinch on the back of a hand, then all the medication to relax you and put you to sleep will go through the iv. The team may decide to use a regional anesthesia to asist with the operation. You will wake up in recovery room feeling slightly groggy. Talk to your anesthesiologist.

In brief: Depends on you.

A very fit person, who is always active and takes on challenges and bumps in the road in a proactive manner may be back in action in a few days, and full recovery within a month.
A sedentary, overweight, unhappy person..... Well you get the idea.
