My husband is blacksmith who works in any metal. Could he make a prosthetic like those students from ipt?

In brief: Some parts

Current prosthetics have multiple metal parts but most custom parts of prostheses are not metal.
One of the most important parts is the socket (where the part of the limb left fits in). These are made of special polymers or carbon fiber. Most prosthesis now are modular. The socket is custom but other parts are purchased and put together to make the final product.

In brief: Possibly

I'm sure he'd have a lot of expertise to offer.
