In brief: Yes
Fractures of the radius come in many varieties but most can be treated with either immobilization (cast or splint) or surgery.
In the majority of these cases, the fingers can be free for writing. You may not be as fast or facile as usual but you can probably do it.

In brief: Radius fracture
activity is permitted and encouraged .
use of finger to do normal things helps get the hand and wrist better faster. It promotes range of motion, reduces pain as long as one does not overdo it and helps restore blood flow, all of which helps healing. Bone an joints are meant to be used so laying around nt doing anything can be counterproductive unless there is a severe injury with circulation iss

In brief: Sure, but may hurt
This fracture takes about 6 weeks to heal in a cast or with surgery.
Either way, function will be somewhat limited. Regardless, it should be ok to write during the healing process. A cast or splint may make writting difficult, but the fingers are generally unaffected by this injury. When not using the hand, try to ice and elevate as much as possible.

In brief: Radius fracture
Yes. Add tape to your pen or pencil to make it more bulky and easier to grip, also consider a rubbery type gripper that can be applied to your pen or pencil.
