In brief: Spastic Bowel (SB)

The acual incidence of symptoms that we relate to ibs is extremely high with either constipation of diarrhea, abdominal cramps, bloating, etc.
The actual diagnosis of ibs whether costipation-predominate or diarrhea-predominate, is now very tightly regulated by international criteria that limits the numbers of those that carry the diagnosis. It doesn't, however, change how we work up and treat sb.
