It primarily occurs in 2 different forms known as ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease. The end result is chronic but intermittent inflammation in the terminal small intestines or large intestines. It is commonly manifested by pain with bloody mucous stools. The exact cause of the inflammation is not similar to autoimmune disease.
