Someone spit in my face. Is it possible I caught aids from his saliva? Can that happen?

In brief: No
You can't contract HIV from someone spitting in your face.
Hiv does not live in saliva unless for example that person had a bleeding sore in his mouth. Even then, HIV is not a very hearty virus, and does not live well outside the blood stream. It is very very difficult to contract HIV other than through sexual intercourse and IV needle sharing.

In brief: No
Saliva can't transmit the disease unless it has blood in it and even then it is unlikely.
