In brief: Which reaction?
Some adverse reactions are shared, and more common across a group of similar antidepressants.
Other reactions are unique to a particular drug. All depends.

In brief: Definitely NOT!
It's quite common for someone to have an adverse reaction or lack of effectiveness to the first antidepressant trial.
Don't give up! the vast majority of people who do not respond to the first treatment trial are eventually able to find an effective and well tolerated treatment if they stick with it and continue to work with, and communicate honestly, with their prescriber.

Different antidepressants have different side-effects.
In general, nausea and headaches are fairly common to most.
