What is sclerosis of the liver? Is it serious?

Sclerosing cholangit. Sclerosing cholangitis: recurrent stricturing and scar tissue within the bile ducts (plumbing that drains bile from the liver) leading to recurrent infections in the liver. It can be associated with ulcerative colitis. It is a risk factor for cancer of the bile ducts. It can be serious and should be managed by a liver specialist.
