In brief: 3 weeks or so
In general, poison ivy/oak/sumac is a 3 week problem. That's how long it usually takes for the reaction to subside and your skin to settle down.
As a dermatologist, i will always error on the side of prolonging the treatment to at least 3 weeks to make sure there is no rebound reaction which frequently happens if the treatment is shorter than 3 weeks.
