Can having hashimoto's disease increase my chance of getting diabetes later?

Yes. By having hashimoto's thyroiditis (autoimmunethyroiditis )you have of developing other autoimmune disorders and type1 diabetes is one of them. On the other hand hashimoto's is very common and in comparison the other disorders are fairly rare that i would not loose sleep over it.
