Why would my doctor order an EEG for chronic nausea?

Nausea. Chronic nausea either stems from the GI tract or from the brain. An eeg is just another means of evaluating the functions of the brain.

Take one at a time. Fibromyalgia can be associated with headaches, and if you have migraines, this may explain the eeg, but also consistent with focal seizures and prior head and/or neck trauma. The chronic nausea could be a medication rxtn, but also, due to GI problems, or even potential migraine equivalent. Need to get this all worked out. Get a neurology consult. Read more...
