Too much cleanser. This may not seem intuitive but the cleanser itself may be the problem, . Both salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide (the likely ingredients of the cleanser) can irritate or dry the skin. You may be too aggressive as well cleansing too often. Small red bumps on scalp of head?

? folliculitis. It sounds like folliculitis, a bacterial infection of the scalp similar to acne. If you look close you may see a pustule when they first break out. They are often itchy/tender and scratched at producing a small scab. They tend to come and go. There is no permanent cure, but i often treat flares with antibiotics.
