Not really, no. PTSD is a serious condition which tends to respond well to talk therapy and medicine. Avoiding professional treatment is not the way to go.

Even though the road is long and hard, medication and psychotherapy is the best approach, and if possible, with a psychoanalyst who can help with the recollection of trauma but at a tolerable level of intensity.
