In brief: It depends
If the pain is really mild, try to stay away from doctors.
They may want to do an x-ray, etc.. However, if you are on medications like statins, such pain may be indicative of a more serious problem like rhabdomyolysis. Nerve pain may be indicative of diabetes. If it's back pain, try to strengthen your muscle core. For backs and necks, i say chiropractor. For pain elsewhere, i say osteopath.
