Is it normal to have only two holes for my knee meniscectomy?

Yes. There are different ways of performing a knee scope. I personally only use two holes. One for the camera and fluid that goes in and out, and one for the instruments. Some surgeons prefer using a third hole for fluid in our out. It depends on personal preference and training. There are advantages of each. The additional hole makes it easier to see, but can inhibit the quad muscles after surgery.
