In brief: Stretch everyday

If it is back pain, start by stretching everyday.
If you want to do aerobics, start with mild aerobics. Of course i would like to know where on your body do you have pain.

In brief: Look for help

Sometimes self determined exercise can be harmful.
I suggest you ask your physician about a physical therapist who can recommend exercises that will strengthen you but not cause undue pain. Dont overdo it.

In brief: Workout with others

Working out with others may help with motivation, and also help you set goals by competing with others and against yourself.
